The Great Lee St Fete

The Great Lee Street Fete is a famous annual community event that delights and surprises all. Our next fete will be on Sunday 03 March 2024.
A Carlton North Primary School essential fund-raising initiative, the Great Lee Street Fete provides funds that are a significant part of the school’s annual operating budget to run high-quality class programs and maintain the grounds and buildings. Family and friends contribute to make the event possible and turning the Lee Street Fete into a carnival for one day of the year.
What to Expect on the Day
-Craft, toys, jams, books, cakes, clothes, plants – silent auction and raffles – face paint, henna tattoo and hair salon – dunk tank, kids zone, box maze and carnival rides – animal farm and pony grooming – entertainment- bar, coffee and mystery bottle stall – crepes, curry, okonomiyaki, crayfish roll, Balkan BBQ and sausage sizzle. And a chill out zone!

Making our fete inclusive for everyone
This year, we have a range of initiatives to help our whole community enjoy the ‘best day ever’!.
– Low noise hour (10-11am) – all stalls will be open (with no amplified music; other than a little bit of keyboard during a school music ensemble)
– The Paddock chill out space (in collaboration with Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library; all day) – drop by to recharge on a bean bag or air lounge, enjoy the shade, free WIFI or read a book. Visit the painted cow on the Lee St side of school for a bit of respite and calm on fete day.
